The Human Right Education Institute (HREI) is seeking an energetic, motivated Executive Director (ED) to work with the Board of Directors to give general supervision, direction, and control of the development, fundraising, program and operational activities of the organization. This individual will be the official spokesperson for HREI and represent the Institute in community relations and partnerships.
The ideal candidate will have a dedication to human rights and appreciation of education as a means to overcome prejudice and ignorance. This candidate will have earned a bachelor’s degree or higher with at least five years' experience fundraising, public relations/marketing, community development, and/or management in a non-profit organization. The candidate should have a proven track record of raising funds from diverse sources with experience in donor cultivation, grant writing, contracts management and special events; proven management and leadership capabilities with a commitment to transparency, accountability and follow-through; demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment; strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
The Human Rights Education Institute is a 501(c)(3), non-profit organization in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. The Institute was founded in 1998 by a dedicated group of local volunteers wishing to expand human rights education in the Inland Northwest. Salary and working conditions are competitive and commensurate with the applicant’s qualifications.
