• Who is that individual who by their words and deeds gives the respect to everyone they meet regardless of any differences?
• What are the qualities in that person that you admire and respect

Your hero might be your minister, scout leader, parent or even your brother-in-law. She/he might be your teacher, Doctor, or a volunteer at a local non-profit. 

We all know that special person. 

The Human Rights Education Institute needs your help to identify the heroes amongst us to give them the recognition they deserve.

With their permission we want to identify them on our web site and facebook. We will ask our local papers to publish their stories to hopefully encourage others to be heroes in their own right. 

In October, our panel of judges will assemble all the names to award the local Hero of the Year at our annual Human Rights Hero Event.
