Betsy Hawkins served as Human Resource Director at Kootenai Medical Center since October 1999. She is currently completing her Master's in Human Performance Technology from Boise State University.   Her career experience includes over 25 years of human resource and organizational development work in hospitals and non-profit organizations.   She is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources.   Mrs. Hawkins is a board member for the Women's Center and a Civil Service Commissioner for the city of Coeur d'Alene.   She formally sat on the board of Hospice of North Idaho, was a chapter president of the American Association of University Women, a member and past Chairperson for the Washington State Health Care Human Resource Association, as well as a member and former President of the Idaho Hospital Human Resource Association.

Betsy is a 6 th generation Idahoan and a native of Coeur d'Alene.   She is often invited to speak and consult to regional employer groups, non-profit organizations and universities on a variety of topics.   Her passion is to inspire positive change in others.    Betsy graduated from Eastern Washington University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Health Services Administration
