Rocky Owens - Secretary

Rocky Owens serves as Associate Director of Lewis-Clark State College - Coeur d'Alene.  As a native of Idaho, Rocky graduated from high school in Coeur d'Alene and later attended North Idaho College, where he earned an A.A. in 1992.  After completing his Associates' Degree, Rocky traveled to Japan, where he studied Japanese and Asian Studies at Nagasaki Junior College.  Capitalizing on his interest in Asian studies, he returned to the States to work at the Pacific International Institute at Lewis-Clark State College and complete a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication Arts.  
Upon completing a stint of employment with Senator Kempthorne's Office, Rocky returned to Japan to serve the Hokkaido Board of Education.  To complete graduate work, Rocky returned to the UK, where he earned a M.A. in Language and Communication Research from the University of Wales, Cardiff.  Since completing graduate work, he has taught Media/Communication courses in Seattle and at Lewis-Clark State College. His professional affiliations include membership on the CDA Chamber Education Committee, as well as affiliation with the Pacific Association of College Registrars and Admission Officers.  A frequent traveler, Rocky is well acquainted with international and cultural affairs, especially issues affecting the European Union and emerging EU markets.
